Getting started with ZoraMaker

Step by step - updated October 8, 2026

From signing up to your first sale and your reports. You don't have to do it all at once: many makers start with their materials and a few designs, and add the rest as they go.

1. Sign up and secure your account

  1. Open your invite and go to Create your account. Enter the invite code, your business or shop name, and either an email and password or Sign up with Google.
  2. ZoraMaker always asks for a second step. Choose Set up two-step sign-in, scan the code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password…), and type the 6-digit code.
  3. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe - they get you back in if you lose your phone.
  4. Then Add a passkey on your phone and computer: from now on you sign in with Face ID or your fingerprint.

2. Say how you make things

  1. The first question is How do you make your products? Tick everything you do - 3D printing, laser, vinyl cutting, sublimation, UV printing. It decides what ZoraMaker shows you first; nothing is locked away.

3. Add your equipment

  1. Open Equipment in the sidebar (on a phone: Designs, then Equipment). Under Add equipment, pick the kind, then the make and model - the specs fill in (build size and nozzle; laser type, watts and work area; cutting width; press size).
  2. Change anything that's different on yours, then Add machine. Not listed? Choose "Not listed - type it in".

4. Add your materials and supplies

  1. Go to Materials and tap Scan - point your phone camera at the barcode on a spool, roll or blank, or use a USB scanner. Known products fill in from the starter catalog. No barcode? Use + Add.
  2. Say how much you have and what you paid. Unknown is fine - ZoraMaker never guesses a cost.
  3. Materials go into every piece (filament, vinyl, transfer tape, blanks, packaging) and are counted. Supplies are used now and then (magnets, glue, LEDs) and are just marked have, low or out.
  4. When an order arrives later, Orders → + New order records what you bought; stock rises only when it's received.

5. Bring in your designs

  1. Open Designs → + New design and Choose files (the ZIP as you bought it, or the STL, 3MF, SVG or LightBurn files) - or Pick from Google Drive. The name, designer, license and print or laser settings are read from the files.
  2. From Google Drive, choose Link it - leave it in your Google Drive or Load it into ZoraMaker.
  3. Many designs at once? Import a folder makes a design from each folder.
  4. Check the license: a design that may not be sold from is flagged. See design licenses explained.

6. Make a product and its recipe

  1. On a design, choose Make a product from it (or Products → + New product). Add options such as Color or Size - each combination becomes an item with its own SKU.
  2. On each item, add its recipe: what makes it (one of your machines, or By hand) and the materials one piece takes. A sliced 3MF fills this in for you.
  3. ZoraMaker shows the cost per piece from what you paid, and could make: how many you can make from what's on the shelf, and what runs out first.

7. Record what you make

  1. On an item, tap I made some: "I made 10, 2 failed" takes the materials for all 10 and puts 8 into finished stock.
  2. For bigger runs, Start a batch sets the materials aside, then Finish batch records what was really used.

8. Sell - at a show or anywhere

  1. Go to Sell, pick the show (or none), and scan a label or search. Record sale takes it out of stock at once. No signal at the booth? Sales are kept on your phone and sent when you're back online.
  2. Print labels on a product prints barcode labels for Avery sheets or a label printer.

9. Home and Reports

  1. Home shows what's low, what's selling and what you could make - Edit dashboard to arrange it your way.
  2. Reports shows what's on your shelf at cost, sales and profit by product and show, best sellers and what isn't selling. Every table downloads as a spreadsheet.

10. More you can do

  1. Use Sign-in & security to choose a Light, Medium or Dark theme, manage your passkeys and devices, Download all my data, or Connect an AI app such as ChatGPT or Claude to ask about your shop (read-only).
  2. Selling online too? A connection to ZoraLister is being built so your products and their stock flow straight into your listings.
  3. Stuck, or something looks wrong? Use Report a problem at the bottom of any page - add a screenshot if you can.
